Chris Sisson is a Las Vegas native who attended Advanced Technologies Academy in high school and played on the first two basketball and volleyball teams at Foothill High School from 1999-2001. After graduating high school, Chris Sisson moved to California to attend college, but in 2008 he returned to Henderson to pursue a career in teaching. In 2009, Chris completed his teaching credential program at UNLV and returned to Foothill to start his teaching and coaching career.
From 2009-2016 Chris was very involved in coaching multiple sports, but found his niche coaching boys and girls volleyball. In 2012 he took over the boys volleyball program and helped lead them to five playoff appearances in 5 years including 3 trips to the state semifinals and 2 trips to the state championship match. During those 7 years he was also very involved with the girls program helping coach at all levels.
In 2016 Chris moved to Southern California to grow in his teaching and coaching career. In 2017 Chris began working with Tstreet Volleyball Club, which is recognized as a top 5 girls volleyball clubs in the nation. During this time Chris had the privilege to work under and learn from the club founder, Troy Tanner, who is a legend in the world of volleyball both as a player and coach in indoor and beach volleyball.
During Chris' four years at Tstreet, he has coached multiple teams in multiple age groups that have earned top 3 finishes at multiple national tournaments. Most recently, Chris' 15s teams earned a bronze medal in the open division of the 2020 Triple Crown Invitational in Kansas City, Missouri and a gold medal in the open division of the 2021 Far Westerns USAV Qualifier in Reno, Nevada.
Chris is excited to return to Foothill and bring with him the knowledge and experience gained by working with and learning from some of the best volleyball coaches in the country.
